Transit, rail, and air access
Valley Metro serves the city core and nearby corridors. The Roanoke Amtrak station and Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport matter for buyers who still travel to the Northeast, DC, or company offices.
Greenway access changes daily life
The Roanoke River Greenway and neighborhood commercial pockets make some addresses feel much less car-dependent than the regional average. Cave Spring, Salem, and downtown Roanoke behave very differently.
